Challenges Produce Growth
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” – James 1: 2-4
God allows challenges in our lives to help us grow. As a matter of fact, He BRINGS challenges and trials to us in an effort to help us become more like Jesus.
For many, it is easy to get caught in the same rhythm and pattern of life. We get comfortable, and we let our comfort control our actions and limit our growth.
God can bust up that comfort when it is best for us, causing us to face a challenge and encouraging us to change.
James reminds us that we can count such challenges (trials) as joy. We can rejoice in our challenges. We can embrace the change and even be joyful because of it, knowing that our God is sovereign and His ways are better than our own comfortable ways.

Pray: Lord, help me to rejoice in the challenges I am facing. Helping me to see change in my life as a good thing. Help me to have faith and to recognize that You remain in control, and that You are working to produce steadfastness in my life.
