Day 12
The Lord Will Not Leave Nor Forsake You
Psalm 9: 9-10 – “The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
Throughout scripture, God indicates that He will not leave nor forsake His children. Several times, this promise came when the Lord assigned a specific task (Deuteronomy 31: 6-8, Joshua 1:9, 1 Kings 8:57, 1 Chronicles 28:20 and Isaiah 41: 10-13, just to list a few).
Jesus also included the promise when he gave the Great Commission. He told His disciples: “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).
Even today, God is with us. He goes with us wherever He sends us. And He will not forsake those who seek Him.

Pray: Lord, help us to seek You more intently during this unprecedented time. Help us to find comfort in the fact that You are with us. You are with Westside Fellowship, and You are with Riverview Baptist. And You will not leave nor forsake Your church.
