Be United in Following Christ
1 Corinthians 1: 10 – “I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.”
Unity is extremely important to our Lord Jesus Christ.
In writing to the church at Corinth, Paul reminds believers that Christ is the one who died for them and it is Christ that they should follow.
The same is true in local churches today. The believers in a specific local church should be following Christ, not following an individual, regardless of how popular that individual is or how significant of an earthly role he/she may have played in your life.
As Riverview Baptist and Westside Fellowship both face possible leadership changes, let us be reminded that we follow Christ.
