We Are Family
Ephesians 2:19 – “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.”
Tears flowed from many in attendance at yesterday’s worship service as Pastor Mike announced he is the lead candidate for the senior pastor position at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, Virginia.
The tears provide clear evidence of the love we have for Mike and Stephanie and also the bond we have as a family. Westside has developed a strong family in its 20 years of existence. It can be tough at times to see family members leave, knowing that you will not see them as often as you would like.
God used the language of “family” in several passages when describing the church. Those include Romans 12: 10-13, 1 John 3: 1-24, and 1 Timothy 5: 1-2.
Today, thank God for your Westside Fellowship family.

Pray: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for adopting me into Your family. And thank You for placing me in a local church family (Westside Fellowship). Be with our family throughout the month of August and beyond. Use this season to strengthen the bonds of family within our church.
