Walking in Humility Can Help Maintain Unity
Ephesians 4:1-6 – “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
The Lord puts tremendous value on unity and harmony, especially among His children.
To maintain such unity, He calls us to live peaceful lives – to walk with humility, gentleness and patience. We do this by bearing one another’s burdens in love.
If you are reading this, it is likely that you have a connection with either Westside Fellowship or Riverview Baptist Church or both. As these churches face a possible change in leadership, maintaining unity and harmony will be critical elements to the health of the churches.
Please pray that you do your part in helping to maintain the unity that God has created in your local church.

Pray: Dear Lord, help me to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called. As your child, you have called me to be an ambassador of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20). As such, I want to represent Jesus well in all areas of my life. Help me to do so in the various ways I interact with others. Help me to walk with humility and gentleness and patience. And help me to maintain unity by placing a high priority on keeping the peace.
