Welcome Homeschool Families

If you are a mom or someone who is in the trenches of parenting both homeschoolers and/or preschoolers, Westside's homeschool group is for you! This group offers support, encouragement, renewal, and refreshment for moms as well as activities for the kids.  Our schedule includes a variety of enrichment classes for kids, field trips, and intentional opportunities for moms to grow in their faith. Our families encompass a wide age range, and we welcome kids preschool-high school age. We meet every other Tuesday morning at 10 am starting September 8th, 2026.  We would love to have you join us! FAQ's & Housekeeping

What is the cost?
As our group grows, this is an evolving question. As of now, we will be a pay as you go group and one of our volunteer leaders will let you know if you should bring money to help cover supplies of a class or what needs to be paid for a field trip. The estimated total per family is around $150 for the year, depending on what you participate in. 
Do I need to stay with my child?
Please stay on the campus or on the premises of the field trip. You are responsible for your child(ren). They will be split into various groups for activities, but just stick around the area.
How do I stay updated?
Communication will happen via the Group Me app, so please turn on notifications so you can see announcements and participate in the group chat.  
Do I need to attend Westside as my home church?
You do not have to be a member at Westside to join this group, but we hope you are plugged in somewhere. If not, we would love to help you get connected to a local church.
How old are the kids in this group?
We have a wide age range of kiddos who participate. We have families with infants, toddlers, preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school children! We also have a mix of children who homeschool and attend a homeschool hybrid model. 
We exist to build community, to support you in your parenting and homeschool journey, and to grow faith, both in you and your kids.  To make this work, we need the kids to respect those in authority over them and treat the other kids with kindness.  If we see bullying or repetitive unkindness, we will approach the parent to ask that it be handled, and if we continue to have problems, you may be asked to leave the group.  Let’s work together to make this a great year!

As veteran homeschool mom of over a decade, she is passionate about encouraging moms and building a supportive, Christ-centered learning community for our children.
